Prayer
Makes a Difference
|

Prayer seems to be God's theme
and our occupation. All last
week I had the privilege of
praying-interceding, for my
friend, Usha. She is a Calvary
International "worker", who
spent the week in an area of
India where there are no
Christians. She has been there
before and says "it can be so
lonely with out the feeling of
safety and security that one
would normally have with other
believers around you." But she
went on to report, "this time it
was different." At predetermined
times of the day I was in prayer
for her, sometimes joined by
others. She credits God for
hearing the prayers and giving
her courage and favor while
doing His business in an
oppressed land.
Prayer does make
a difference!

our older house.

breathtaking!
Thank you, Lord for
all blessings!

Business 101
Troupe's band trip is in three
weeks. The cost is covered by
selling candy at 1$ a piece.
Troupe did the math. He would
have to sell 1,250 candy bars!
We came up with a business plan.
So far Troupe has baked and sold
62 batches of brownies and 8
double layer chocolate cakes. As
in any 101 class there has been
coaching and supervising, but he
is becoming quite the business
man complete with a sales pitch,
business cards and
happy customers!

"What can we do to help?" the
leader asked after the group
heard us share what the Lord has
us doing here in Jacksonville
through Calvary International.
We had just told these attentive
listeners about the 180
missionaries Calvary
International working in over 50
countries. We explained why
these missionaries need the
crisis management system we are
working to get in place. We also
relayed how God is connecting us
to praying people in the city of
Jacksonville.
Their offer: "What can we do to
help?" Our answer:
Pray for our work with the
missionaries - that it will
not be frustrated.
Pray that God will bless the
ministries he has opened for
us in Jacksonville.
Join the work to which God
is calling many by becoming
partners in this work.
