Where's Natalie |

A graduate of Christ for the
Nations in Dallas Texas,
Natalie Mattes entered our
Timothy Internship Program
as part of her third
year missions coursework.
Initiating the year 2009
with ten weeks at our
training base in the
Philippines, she was further
equipped for life as a
foreign missionary. Natalie
then came through
MPO at our Florida
headquarters in early May to
complete her thorough
training and evaluation.
Appointed as a career
missionary she then began
energetically building her
prayer and support team.
Wow! Within only three
months, she was already at
75% of her assigned monthly
budget and is even now
completing her preparations.
Starting in January, she
will be in the Philippines
initiating her final step to
the mission field.... a
10 month apprenticeship
at our Sonshine Center.
There she will be working
alongside other seasoned
full time missionaries.
Natalie is just one of a new
wave of young lives
committed to God's calling
to the harvest. And you are
part of what gets her
there....and helps us keep
her there. Thank you!!

Significant Change |

Before summer was over, Troupe
determined that he would rather live
in Texas with his mother.
In truth, we were all hard pressed
by this decision, and strongly
resisted initially. When finally we
relented, we were able to release
him with our blessings. With the
advent of manhood comes an increase
in freedom... and responsibility. He
is currently in Fort Worth attending
Southwest High School as a freshman.
And just as before, we continue to
pray that Troupe's knowledge of the
Lord's goodness, will be his
greatest treasure.

Greetings,
It has been too long. We have
missed you. Let us catch you up
on the things you are intimately
involved with. The constant
theme here is change. Yes, the
winds of change are blowing, but
God is our ardent anchor. So for
a moment, take a walk through
these highlights and join us in
prayerful praise of the one to
Whom we owe so much. As usual
you can click on each link and

"Oh yes.... Calvary International. I
know...that church that started in
California, right?" "No, no...that
is
Calvary Chapel.
Now I am sure it is a great church,
but
we
are a missions agency and not a
church." For nearly three decades
now, Calvary International has
partnered with local churches across
the country to confirm, train,
equip, and protectively sustain
those whom God sends out to the
nations as missionaries. Over 600
have been trained and sent since
1981. But in all those years, the
name Calvary International has not
evidenced clearly what we do. We are
a missions agency.
Therefore, as of December 19
2009, our name and brand change to
GoToNations.
Simply put....its what we do. We
still have the same focus as Calvary
International...still the same
commitment to excellence....still
the same vision and goals...but now
with a new name which makes all that
crystal clear. Oh...and a
new web site too.

"Ooo! I want to remember that!"
Roxie thought excitedly. Therefore
simultaneously rewinding the
cassette tape while checking the
rear-view mirror and pressing a
little harder on the break peddle...
she found a pen and pad to write on.
Relaxing since she was first in
line at the last red light on the
way to work, she wrote the verse
down without a rush. There was no
one behind to push (or honk) her
along. Once finished and noticing
her light had
already changed, Roxie eased
into the intersection. FLASH!
WHIZZZ!! Another car went blurring
past, inches in front of her bumper.
They had flown through their own...
now VERY red light. An accident
narrowly missed. Still shaking, but
now safely progressing toward her
destination.... she glanced at the
verse that had just caused her to
pause:
"You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You." (Is.

One ingredient in our current
missionary recruiting recipe is the
Urbana Conference,
the largest student's missions
conference in the world. This
massive event is held every three
years and will take place this
December 27th-31st in St. Louis. To
have the greatest impact, we will
host several booths near the
entrance. The theme will be our
Timothy Internship Program,
focusing on equipping new
missionaries for full-time service
in the nations. In order to get
noticed we needed to shout out a
clear mes sage
of 'who we are' and 'what we do'.
Our new Go To Nations
brand will serve that purpose well.
This is a new direction for us, but
we have prayed to the Lord of the
harvest. Our goal for Urbana is to
attract 1200 student participants;
of which, 75 will register for a
Timothy Internship - yielding 50
actual interns - yielding 35
full-time missionaries - all this
based on our current internship
retention rate.

Roxie and Tom continue to work with
Restoring
the Foundations
(RTF) ministries. This
relationship is in order to bring
the benefi ts
of spiritual healing and restoration
to all our GoToNations (GTN)
missionary and staff members. Having
established a partnership between
GTN and this counseling ministry,
our goal is to become certified as
trainers and ministers. With the RTF
integrated approach to biblical
counseling we will be better
equipped to provide the Member Care
that is required by our agency.
There are more weeks of training
ahead for us in January and
throughout the 2010 calendar year.

Thank you for your prayerful
interest and passionate
participation in the work God is
doing both in and through us as His
servants, and His soldiers.
Sincerely,
