Tom’s Adroit Cat
Tom had taught his cat to ring a bell by the backdoor. When Dex rang that bell Tom and Dex would start their day outside. Dex would first run around and sniff things. When he was satisfied with knowing where he was he would jump around all crazy. He was a very flexible and nimble cat. He would jump on top of Tom’s Dad’s Hummer which was about 7 feet high which is quite a jump for a cat. Tom can’t even put his hand on the top of the Hummer unless he is looking out from the sun roof. When Tom watches his cat on the Hummer he realizes that his cat is a very quick cat. Tom would watch his cat chase his tail and catch it and then spring up in midair to try and reach a bird. It was quite a funny sight. Eventually Dex would be hungry and would come inside to eat. He would come inside by a one way cat door. Inside the house Dex was also very hyper. Once, Tom got a video camera and filmed Dex. Dex did so many funny things that the video of Dex actually won $10,000 from America’s Funniest Home Videos. Tom filmed Dex jumping in mid air doing back-flips off of the sofa. Dex was only trying to reach a toy that Tom was dangling above his head. Dex was amazing. One time Dex picked up a cat toy with his teeth and then laid down. When he had the toy in the grip of his paws he would start licking it like crazy. Tom always told himself that he though it was because of the catnip inside the toy. At night Dex had a whole new personality. After each long day Dex becomes tired. This is probably why he calms down at night when everybody else does. Sometimes Tom would be in bed trying to go to sleep and he would feel this soft object that kept on rubbing against his side and then meowing. Tom realized that it was Dex and then Tom would scratch Dex for a little while. Tom would eventually tell Dex that it was time for bed. Once Tom got the video camera and set it up on a tripod. Then he went to sleep after turning the camera on. The next morning Tom realized a startling fact. When Tom woke up the next morning he realized something that he had never expected. At 12:10 in the morning while he was asleep Dex got under the blankets and went to sleep at Tom’s feet. At 2:35 am Dex got out of bed, took a quick restroom break and then curled up back up under the covers. When Tom made his first noises of waking up in morning around 7:00 am Dex quickly got out and then started rubbing on Tom again, meaning that he wanted to be scratched. Dex finally got his scratch and then Tom and Dex started a new day. That is what Dex and Tom do every single day. They play together and sleep together and all kinds of other things together.
Why Did God Create Me “I wonder why God created me,” is what I used to say. Now I know why God created me. I used to think that God created me do be young and get in trouble all the time and get a job eventually and live a life. Now I know better. God created me so that I could worship him. In all my worship I would make him happy. I can worship God by doing what he made me to do. For example, he loves it when I eat and drink while worshiping him. He also loves it when I sing and dance while praising him. In his point of view that is worship too. And best of all I can worship him by serving him. That is one reason God created me and everybody else too. Another reason God created me is so that I can tell others about who he is. I can teach them about God and tell them what he did for us on the cross. I can also ask if they would like to receive the Lord as the savior of their life. I am supposed to love my enemies and lead them to the Lord if I can. I am also told to pray for my enemies that they might realize what they are doing wrong. I am to be a good leader or a good influence for others. That is why God created me, so that I can tell others about him and help them up to heaven’s doorstep. I am to not only lead people to the Lord but also teach them to be a disciple. To be a disciple is not easy unless you are holding the Lord’s hand. To be a disciple you have to worship God and do everything that he tells you to do and also learn from your mistakes. Then I teach them how to tell others about the Lord the same as I did. I will choose some people to walk with me and learn as I talk to more people and lead them to the Lord. This pleases God because when I do this I don’t just add people to Heaven… I multiply!! I don’t ever stop being a disciple; I keep on working and working and working. This will please God a whole lot. If I am faithful until the end he will have a big surprise awaiting me in heaven. That is why
God created me and also that is why he created everybody. That is what
I plan on doing my whole life as well as having a job and a family. I
already have half of that family. That’s God’s family.
Getting in a fight with someone you don’t like is not the best way to solve a problem. It’s flat out wrong to fight and let all your anger out on someone. Even if they were or are still very annoying, there are some ways to get around fighting them. First you can try to ignore them. You can ignore them by pretending they are not even there and you just keep on doing what you know you are supposed to be doing. You can also pretend to be deaf and not even look in their direction. Or if you are allowed to, you can listen to your I-pod or MP3 Player. You can also hum or whistle a tune to yourself if you don’t have a music player. If trying to ignore them isn’t working try these next things. Another way to make someone stop doing something instead of fighting is to change the topic. You can do your best to do this by talking about other things as if you did not hear him call you a name. You can also look for distractions, for instance a skateboarder passing by doing very cool tricks or a weird looking cloud. You can basically look for anything that somebody else would want to see. If you can’t think of anything to say to change the subject or you can’t find anything interesting you can always make a joke. So far you can ignore or change the topic on someone who is annoying but if these don’t work, there is still one more thing that you can do. You can go ask for help. If you are in a class there is bound to be a teacher or an adult somewhere. You can ask him or her to talk to the person who is bugging you. Or you can ask if you or the one who is annoying you could be moved to another spot away from each other. In other words you can ask to be separated. Finally you can ask a nearby adult for more suggestions on how to solve the problem. Those are some suggestions on how to avoid a fight. It is way better to do these things listed above than to start a fight.
