African Safari - by DSC

I am the DSC F707 Sony Digital camera Tom McLeod purchased in the

spring of 2002 while planning a trip to Africa.  He expected
     to show his son some...

                                              ...Elephants!     (click on pix)

As Tom did, you would also expect to use me for getting pictures of the big cats.

Cheetah  Lions       Leopard
(by my "night shot" feature)

One would expect me to be pointed at graceful creatures like these.

Impala Grants Topi Waterbuck

And you would also expect me to shoot the BIG and tall game.

Or maybe you would expect me to capture the funny and unusual animal moments.

As you probably also expected, at times my awesome 10x zoom was not even needed!

You would surely expect me to digitalize beautiful African landscape.

And of course you would expect me to get Kilimanjaro in all it's glory.

That is what you would expect, that is what Tom expected, but allow my ability to record history, show you the unexpected

Roxie lived in Nairobi and did not expect
Tom and Troupe to actually come all that way.

Roxie planned the safaris, but did
not expect them to go so well - only two flat tires!

Roxie did not expect that at the foot of
Mt. Kilimanjaro Tom would confess he loved her!

The question is:  Did Tom expect that?

Tom did expect the classical answer,
 "Let me think about it."

Why now? After 10 years of friendship?
Was it Roxie's great cooking?

Or was it her kissing skills?
Or her wind-surfing skills?

Or was it the fun Troupe
      and Roxie have together?

I may be a great camera, but those questions can only be answered by how

 unexpected

God's plans are for our lives.
