Where's Troupe

Troupe's Mug
Our boy is quickly becoming manly. Averaging nearly an inch a month over the past three, growing tall seems to be the theme this year. His days (and nights) are filled with school, music, church and friends. Lately he is busy practicing for Douglas Anderson auditions for band and piano. DA is a nationally acclaimed Arts Magnet High School with a history of fostering academic excellence as well. Troupe really wants to make the most of this chance. So please pray with us about this life choice for him.  We were also very proud of him as his clarinet skills granted him entrance for the second straight year into the All District Honor Band.

Moving Experience
House for Sale

Please pray as we consider what is the best housing situation for our family. We have lived at this house since we moved to Jacksonville six years ago while working for GE. Thinking we were going oversees to serve as foreign missionaries, we planned to sell. Now we have an unfinished remodel and a soft housing market. We need much divine intervention and direction. Thank you for praying with us about this very important matter.

Dear Friend,

We are so grateful to be continuing our work with the many missionaries of Calvary International. Thank you for partnering with us through your encouragement, prayers and support. We literally are doing this work together. As Director of Member Care, Roxie and I are progressing on our big project, the new Security Management System. We are likewise developing training materials which will be delivered over the Internet to ensure an even more careful regard for the lives of our missionaries. In Mid-February we have a new group of Missionary Candidates participating in their preparation and orientation (MPO). This is the initial step in CI's 10-10-10 proven missions track. Please continue to pray with us over these new candidates who are under pressure as they respond to God's calling as foreign missionaries.

Many of Jacksonville's City leaders are coming together for prayer. (click video) The fact is that they too recognize that this city's rampant crime is a spiritual issue that requires a spiritual solution. Pray Jacksonville is one of several God authored prayer movements in the city where Calvary International has its world headquarters. To ignore the needs of this city while serving God "to the ends of the earth", is not consistent with the directive of Jesus in Acts 1:8, where we are informed that our empowerment is for this city and the rest of the world.

We celebrated with Pastor Dan Jones of a North Jacksonville church, at the re-opening ceremony of their sanctuAshes to Beautyary January 19th. This work was the culmination of believers coming together from all over Jacksonville. Tom, Roxie, Troupe and Calvary International partnered with Pastor Dan and his church to unite in victory. What some meant for evil, when they set fire to this church building, God meant for good. And God is turning ashes into beauty by placing on our hearts the burden of this man...to rebuild, recreate and reclaim that which was destroyed. Doesn't that sound just like God? How fitting for a church named Christ Ministry of Changing Lives.

Tom and Roxie have been part of 12-Step recovery ministry for over two years now. Initially they became involved in the hopes of bringing the ministry back to their own home church... for people who needed it (which they did). But they also quickly realized that Celebrate Recovery has what we all need...the truth of the gospel...real liberty through Jesus Christ, expressed through the love and acceptance of others who also share in life's struggles. Click video to hear Tom's personal testimony. He has been sharing this CR testimony since completing his second trip through the eight principles of the Celebrate Recovery program. If you take the time to listen, you will hear of a hope that is simply irresistible.

Prayer Walking We have been spreading the good news of the Gospel and covering our city with prayer. Most every Saturday is now being utilized to preach, encourage or intercede to prisoners inside prison chapels, to the aged in retirement homes and on the city streets of our city. (click video) Joining with many churches (and many more to come)...we kicked off this, our third year the Jacksonville Prayer Walk. If you are in Jacksonville, come and prayer walk with us on the last Saturday of every month. You will be blessed beyond your imagination.

It is our desire that we bless you by creating an opportunity for you to partner with us and reach the nations for Jesus Christ...

Till Every Tongue Confess.

Grace and Peace
