Missionary Spotlight |
 |
Kate Royal has been a
Calvary Missionary for five
years in Burkina Faso, West
Africa. God is using her to
teach hundreds of Fulani
children about the life and love
of Jesus, while at the same time
teaching them to read and write,
in one of the world's poorest
and most illiterate countries.

Make a Joyful Noise |

Unable to
glorify God alone, Tom
shelved his singing for
nearly twenty years. God's
grace has reshaped Tom's
heart. Now he is
encountering many
opportunities to praise in
vocal response, while
assisting others to worship
as well. Click picture for
example.

Greetings,
The time is finally here for us at
Calvary International .
The third week of November kicks off
the Crisis Management and Leadership
Training we have been preparing for
the past several months.
CCI (Crisis Consulting
International) will be on hand to
follow up and assist us in preparing
all of our field leaders. More
Calvary missionaries will be here
for this training than have ever
assembled in the nearly 28 years of
CI history. Given this unprecede nted
gathering, we have added two days of
leadership training by
LTI. Coupled with the crisis
management training, planning, and
implementation, we are confident
that we will encourage and equip all
Calvary International missionaries
as God has specifically directed us
to do... for the coming season. |

Delivered
God revealed a plot to kidnap one of
the children o f
one of our Calvary missionaries.
Plans overheard in the city
marketplace made it back to the
training facility. Those that
intended to profit on the life or
death of a child had an employee
working as a maintenance employee at
our training compound. God
mercifully delivered all this news
through friends and dreams within
two days and two countries. The
children were removed from harm's
way and the employees were released
without incident. We recognize this
as an urgent reminder that our work
on our agency's Crisis Management
System is of paramount importance.

Social Networking
Calvary has established a new social
networking community focused on
finishing the Great Commission.
MissionsPlex is a great place to
stay in touch with all your Calvary
Inte rnational
missionaries. You can read web logs,
respond, watch or post videos, chat
and look at pictures.... almost
anything you can do at those other
social networking sites, but with a
decidedly more Godly focus and
purpose. Try it out. Find a
missionary to become acquainted with
and get to know them and their work.
Bet you can't meet just one!!

Effective & Fervent

"Prayer avails much", God said. At
first it seemed unrelated to our
call to support our Calvary
missionaries throughout the world.
But we have found ourselves
increasingly involved in prayer
movements here in Jacksonville.
Compelled by the Spirit, and invited
by leaders, we participate and even
assist leading in city
prayerwalks, our city-wide
prayer network, weekly prayer
meetings with city businessman and
inclusive prayer meetings with our
city's pastors, whose hearts long
for unity. God's heart was revealed
as churches and individuals came
together in unity to help rebuild a
church burned down by
elements in the community in
which it served. Ashes to Beauty is
the project.
Click here for pictures of the event.
By adding these prayers for our city
and churches, we are providing
"Member Care" for all Calvary
missionaries, even those who serve
as staff at our world headquarters
right here in Jacksonville Florida.

It is our desire that we bless
you by creating an opportunity
for you to reach the nations for
Jesus though us.
