Calvary International (CI) has built a significant and symbiotic relationship with Christ for the Nations (CFNI) in Dallas, Texas. In their Advanced School of Global Missions, CFNI lacked a proven track needed to give their students the missions and cultural experience required for a successful placement in the missionary community. They were falling short in the preparation and it was glaringly evident in the numbers of student choosing not to continue on in their missionary calling. But by integrating CI's proven track, the Timothy Internship Project (TIP), the CFNI program is becoming the success originally envisioned by the college. Because of the TIP, more missionaries are getting to the field and fulfilling God's calling on them. Thank you Calvary!!

Dear Friend,

We have both finalized our transition to working on full time staff with Calvary International at their world headquarters here in Jacksonville Florida. We were able to assist in the annual Go To Nations Experience as staff members. We just returned from training at the Wycliffe facility in North Carolina called JAARS. There we received in depth classroom and field training for crisis management, risk assessment, and security development. Missionary risk abatement and  mitigation is our first assignment as the Directors of Member Care for Calvary.
On the home front, a consolidation of our nightly commitments was required giving us more time to share with our ministry and business partners. We have had to temporarily pull back from several treasured ministries in order to more completely dedicate ourselves to the work we are doing at Calvary. We have received many confirming words and precious support from our home church members and pastors as we initiate our life as "faith based" missionaries. But in our current case, our "mission" is the missionaries themselves. Again, pictures and links give more meaning to the content if you choose to click them.

Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Matthew 9:37

I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.  Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Matthew 10:16

I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again...I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. 2Cor 11:23-26

Here we are apprised of three realities regarding the harvest work force: Firstly, that the harvest work force is limited in number; secondly, that the work, the act of harvesting, can be difficult and dangerous; and thirdly, that the workers, and specific to this case, missionaries, are vulnerable to the dangers that do exist. Therefore, as the Director of Member Care, we are driving risk assessments and training sessions. These gears will mesh with field contingency planning and agency policy development. This harvest combine is the vehicle that will provide a safer and more robust transport for our Calvary harvest force.

Stand FastFasting
Andrew Murray said, "Fasting helps to express, to deepen, and to confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything - to sacrifice ourselves - to attain what we seek for the kingdom of God." We have seriously considered what we are willing to sacrifice. We don't feel that we want to withhold anything from God. Because we want to be sure that we are sincere, we desire the Lord's confirmation to our heart's expression. Therefore, Tom is entering into a 21-day fast on May 1st. Our purpose is to seek God's presence and power for our equipping as we endeavor in this labor together. Please prayerfully consider him as he carefully commits himself to this spiritual sojourn.

Road to Recovery
We were invited to be a part of a new ministry that our local church was exploring as an option.  It's was called Celebrate Recovery and it came out of the same church that the Purpose Driven Life came from. We had heard that it was a good option for providing a process of Christ centered and Christ controlled steps for any person with a hindering hurt, habit or hang-up. We have found it to be all that and more. We have been involved for over a year and a half now and we couldn't more highly recommend any program. There is a significant reason the Celebrate Recovery program has gone frombeing offered in 3,500 to 10,000 churches in that same amount of time. It works, if you let it. Anyway, look them up in your part of the world. You won't regret it, and you might just find that you learn a little more about your Savior and your neighbor in the process.

It is our desire that we bless you by creating an opportunity for you to reach the nations for Jesus though us.

Grace and Peace,

                      Tom & Roxie McLeod
