in the James River in front of Jamestown Settlement.

Catch a post chaise to1754 when George Washington acquires Mount Vernon from family.

Former President and General George Washington earned every stone of this awesome monument erected in his honor.

1800 - the new nation moves it's Capitol south to Washington D.C. - named after the first President.

By then John Adams was the second president - the first to live in the
White House.

F.D. Roosevelt had the trees cut so he could supervise the erecting of the Jefferson Memorial from the White House.

	Speaking of books, do you know what the largest library in the world is?


In 1800 the Library of Congress was founded to serve the U.S. Congress.
Housed in three buildings, its main one is the Thomas Jefferson Building.

	The Thomas Jefferson Memorial

Thomas Jefferson was the third president between1801-1809.



	Monticello was Jefferson's home...		...from 1770 till his death in 1826.

Lincoln Memorial		Abraham Lincoln was president from 1861-1865.

In 1864 U.S. Federal Government set up the Arlington National Cemetery

Today it includes 624 acres of Virginia land overlooking the Potomac River.

1950-1953


	1904 Theodore Roosevelt laid the corner stone for the Washington National Cathedral.

President George H.W. Bush was present as the "Final Finial" was placed on the Cathedral 83 years later.

Travel toward the future on the Metro to the Smithsonian Metro stop.

At the National Air and Space Museum...
	...you can travel try out your own skills for flying

.	The year is now 1927 and Charles Lindbergh has just flown from New York to Paris.


		Travel on the Infinity Express into the future. Explore space and see how small earth really is.
